New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Sandi Lynn, has been giving us beautiful, inspiring and brilliant romance novels that teach us about the meaning of true love, first love and soulmates. She reminds us that when it comes to the person we love, being without them just isn’t an option. Through her novels, Lynn shows us the beauty and magic in the world and reminds us that no matter what’s happening in our lives, we can get through anything with a little help from those we love and some self belief.
Lynn has an ability to break our hearts and then put them back together with her words, whisking us away to another world. She shows us that no matter how bad things we can get, we can move on and be happy. That we can fall in love again and that there is no shortage of love in the world for us. Her books provide sweet romances and friendships as well as showing the strength that can be found in family.
Lynn is a full-time writer, and writing has always her passion. In just a little under a year, she’s written and published a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Trilogy. When she’s not writing, Lynn enjoys going out to dinner and to the movies. She had admitted to having a severe coffee addiction and has said you can usually find her hanging out at the local Starbucks with her laptop. Her newest novel, Corporate A$$, was released yesterday.
In a recent and exclusive interview, Lynn talks about her writing and in particular, her Love series, which includes her novels Love in Between and The Upside of Love.
When asked what inspires her for her stories, Lynn tells us that she finds inspiration in numerous places, and goes on to explain that writing has always been her passion since she was young. She said:
“I find inspiration for my writing in various places. Mostly music and just watching and listening to people. I chose writing for a career because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do since I was a kid. I had won many young author awards in school and awards for my poetry I wrote as well. I knew this was something that I was always meant to do.”
When we flipped the scenario and asked what writers inspire her, Lynn told us that one of the biggest romance writers inspires her. She said:
“I would have to say Nicholas Sparks. To me, he writes the most wonderful and beautiful love stories.”
We also asked Lynn some questions about how she plans her writing. Does she work with an outline, or just she just write and see what comes out? She told us:
“I never have a plan when I start a book. I have character names and an idea of how I want the story to go. I write nothing down and just type whatever the characters are saying in my head. I don’t do outlines, plans, plots, nothing. To me, that’s overthinking and confusing.”
Lynn also went on to talk about her Love series, which has captured the hearts of her readers. The first novel is Love in Between, one of my personal favourites of Lynn’s novels.

When asked how she came up with the idea for Love in Between, Lynn explained that it came to her when she decided she wanted to write something a little different. She said:
“I’ll be honest with you. I’m not really sure, lol. I had just written the first two books of the Forever Series and I wanted to write something different (outside the millionaire realm).”
When reading the novel, I felt that there was a deeper meaning that Lynn was trying to show. The message that what’s for you won’t go by you. Lynn only confirmed this, explaining that the message in the book was about fate. She said:
“The message would be that fate always finds a way. I believe everything in life happens for a reason and we’re put in the path of people for a purpose. Whether it’s to learn a life lesson or to find your soulmate. Fate is fate and there’s no escaping it. What’s meant to be is meant to be.”
Lynn also went on to talk about the second novel in the series, The Upside of Love.
When asked where she got the idea for The Upside of Love, Lynn told us that it just came to her one day and she had to write it. She said:
“I really couldn’t say. It just popped into my head one day. Broken girl who was cheated on. Broken man who lost the love of his life and their journey to find a way to love again.”
She also went on say that the reason she carried Luke and Lily’s story onto a second novel was because she felt as though the characters had more to tell and wanted to give them more closure. She said:
“I decided to carry Luke & Lily’s story to a second novel because they had more to tell. There wasn’t any closure for them or their friends. Plus, I loved every character in the book and it was a lot of fun writing them. I guess you could say that I missed them!”
Lynn also revealed that she has been considering writing a short novella for Lily and Luke for her readers. She said:
“I’ve been thinking about writing a novella for Luke & Lily just to tie up loose ends. I know my readers would like to hear about a wedding and may be a baby. Also, there’s more I can touch on with their friends and Charley.”
Lynn also offers up some advice for aspiring writers and those hoping to get into the writing industry. She tells her readers to follow their heart and never give up. She said:
“If you’re an aspiring writer, the best advice I can give is to write what’s in your heart. Don’t follow the trends and just stick to your gut. The most important thing: NEVER GIVE UP!”
